This is a great cleaning tip for sterling silver, or gold plated sterling silver, jewellery and also safe for gemstones. It's super quick and effective by electrolytic action - which sounds complicated but it's simply a chemical reaction between the silver, aluminium and the sulfur which removes the tarnish from oxidized silver.
You will need:
- A shallow bowl
- Aluminum foil
- Baking soda
- Dishwashing liquid
- Hot water
- A soft cloth

Four simple steps:
Step 1: Line your bowl with the foil and add a tablespoon of baking soda.
Step 2: Add a small amount of dishwashing liquid and then place the jewellery you would like to clean inside. It is important that all of jewellery is touching the foil.
