Where is Silk & Steel jewellery made?
As a New Zealand jewellery designer, all of our jewellery is proudly designed in New Zealand. Many of our pieces are handcrafted here, while others are carefully produced in collaboration with our trusted, ethically aligned international artisans.
Do you offer limited edition jewellery collections?
Yes. Many of our collections are created in small batches or limited editions, adding a layer of exclusivity to your jewellery. Once sold out, they may not return - so if you fall in love with a piece, don’t wait too long!
How do I care for my Silk & Steel jewellery?
To ensure your jewellery stays looking its best, we recommend removing it before swimming, showering, or applying lotions and perfumes. Store your pieces in a soft pouch or box and gently clean with a polishing cloth when needed. Visit our Jewellery Care page for full care tips.
Is your jewellery hypoallergenic?
Yes. We use high-quality materials such as sterling silver, stainless steel, and solid gold - all chosen for their durability and skin-friendly properties. Our gold-plated designs are finished with 1-3 microns of gold, which is 10 to 30 times thicker than standard fashion jewellery plating. In fact, our rings are plated up to 3 microns, exceeding vermeil standards for even greater durability and long-lasting wear.
Our jewellery is generally suitable for sensitive skin, but we always recommend checking individual product details if you have known metal allergies.
Do you ship New Zealand-wide and internationally?
Absolutely. We offer tracked shipping throughout New Zealand and to many international destinations. Delivery options and timeframes are available at checkout.
How can I find the right size for rings or bracelets?

Can I return or exchange my jewellery if it’s not right?
Yes—we want you to love your purchase. If your item isn’t quite right, you can return or exchange it within 14 days of receiving it. Please refer to our Returns Policy for full details and conditions.
Do you offer gift wrapping or packaging for special occasions?
We do. All Silk & Steel jewellery comes beautifully packaged in our signature boxes, ready to gift or keep. If you're shopping for a special occasion, simply add a note at checkout and we’ll take care of the rest.
Are Silk & Steel jewellery pieces suitable for gifting?
Absolutely. From meaningful charms to bold statement pieces, our collections are filled with jewellery that celebrates style and sentiment—perfect for birthdays, anniversaries or just because.
Can I mix and match jewellery from different collections?
Yes, and we encourage it! Our collections are intentionally designed to layer, stack and style together. Create your own unique look by mixing metals, textures and silhouettes.
Do you restock sold-out jewellery designs?
Some of our bestsellers may be restocked, but many of our pieces are limited edition and won’t return. If you see something you love, we recommend securing it before it’s gone. You can also sign up for restock notifications on the product page.

Our Superfine Collection features high-quality materials including 14k gold-plated and rhodium-plated sterling silver, fine chains, and sparkling Cubic Zirconia (CZ) or natural gemstones. Each piece is designed to elevate your look with ease.

Can I wear your jewellery in water or while exercising?
While our stainless steel pieces are highly durable, we recommend removing all jewellery before swimming, showering or exercising to preserve its finish and longevity - especially gold-plated or sterling silver styles.
