Frantically, write all my lyrics out, tequila shot and a deep breath with the band. That has been my superstition for “a good show to follow”, for the last hundred years of me playing live music. Yes, it does feel like 100 years. But hey, we all have ‘em, those lil ghosts we call superstitions, that follow us around and soon become the “can’t live without!!” mantras to be daring, bold and brave on the daily. So, my friend Sarah and I decided to create these little superstitions into a teeny tiny collection of lovely jewels, for you to enjoy. So welcome to the club, my friend. Here’s to your new superstition... Love, Gin x
Named after Gin’s personal mantras and “cross my heart and hope to die” pre-show rituals the idea was formed to turn her superstitions into a tiny collection of lovely jewels and lucky charms to covet and collect. This capsule consists of five unique and meaningful designs (three necklaces and two sets of earrings) cast with mixed metals and precious stones such as white topaz and crystals. These limited-edition Silk & Steel x Gin Wigmore pieces are available in both gold and silver finishes. Please note - this collection is not eligible for any promotion and sales are final.
Gin Wigmore's Love Of Jewellery
“My love for jewellery runs deep. It all fascinates me, from the intricately fine to the daringly bold. The pieces I have collected and worn over the years tell the larger story of who I am alongside a recurring daily thought of “how am I feeling and how can I express those feelings with the world around me?” Gin Wigmore
Working closely with Sarah at Silk & Steel to create the collection, Gin’s designs balance edge and delicacy, creating a timeless capsule inspired by her love of iconography and talismans and her interest in the fine line between love and death. Each piece offers an unexpected take on traditional motifs and were created in concert with one other to allow the entire collection to be enjoyed and layered together or adorned with pieces from your own collection.
Giving Back
As part of this limited-edition collab, Gin and Sarah are also committed to giving back to causes that are close to their hearts so an important element of the collection is the release of unique pieces that will be put up for auction and the proceeds donated to charity. With this capsule release there are be four one-of-a-kind pieces based on Gin’s design “Hand in Hand” that are to be auctioned off and all proceeds from the auctions will be donated to Camp Sunshine.
