Introducing Metallic Fate: available 1 September
Metallic Fate is a collection of versatile boho-rock pieces, designed to be layered and stacked to reflect the unique, personal style of their wearer. Silk&Steels signature spikes and tassels feature throughout the Metallic Fate collection, lending a subtle edge to leather chokers, multi-layered necklaces and hand beaded stackable bracelets. The range is available in both gold and silver with selected pieces mixing the metals to provide versatility. Fine body chains and bracelets are also juxtaposed by bold statement body harnesses - each piece has been designed and made with love in New Zealand.
“Metallic Fate pieces are buildable, they are designed to fit seamlessly into an existing Silk&Steel collection or provide the inspiration to start a new collection. Metallic Fate pieces are to be mix and matched giving their wearer endless opportunities to style and wear their own way”.Sarah Cotterall, Founder and Designer, Silk&Steel.
Metallic Fate is also interspersed with genuine crystal earrings and tassel pendants designed to further empower their wearer. Rose Quartz with its gentle pink essence is a stone of unconditional love, compassion, peace, tenderness and healing, making it the perfect gift of love and friendship. Smokey Quartz is a luxurious protection stone that is said to cleanse and clear negative energy.
Silk&Steel’s Metallic Fate collection will be available online www.silkandsteel.co.nz and in selected stockists nationwide from September 1 2016.

With an unconventional approach to design, Sarah Cotterall is creating luxury fashion jewellery worthy of runways, celebrities, and the everyday New Zealand woman. Hailing from London with an Italian background, Sarah draws inspiration from her European heritage and offers both dramatic statement pieces fit for the world of couture and a wearable diffusion line, capturing an edgy boho-chic aesthetic right throughout her collections. Silk&Steel designs are beautifully crafted presenting unique juxtapositions of textiles, gems, hand-sewn detailing and collectable vintage. Sarah carefully sources quality materials from around the globe for all of her works, the majority of which are carefully handcrafted right here in New Zealand. Launched in 2010, Silk&Steel has been making waves ever since and has been involved in a variety of stimulating collaborations with leading New Zealand fashion designers Yvonne Bennetti and Trelise Cooper. Sarah’s couture and bespoke pieces have even been compared to the likes of Parisienne fashion house Lanvin.
